Balanced for Blessings

For everything there’s a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven. Everything in life revolves around times and seasons. Nothing happens before time.

There was an old saying – “A man’s job is like the setting sun; but a woman’s job is never done”.

Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. Time management is about prioritizing our time to complete tasks that must be accomplished.

As women we are called to carry out many tasks. We wear many hats and manage many titles. We are many things to many people, and in spite of how we feel or how difficult our tasks are we are expected to keep it together and be all things to all people. Many times in the process of being everything to everybody there’s one person that we very often neglect, and that ‘s ourself.

There’s a time for assuring that the family, the church, and the job takes priority in our lives. There’s also a critical time when; as women we have to steal away and spend time with the Lord to be replenished and receive daily instructions for the many hats we wear in this time and season.

Many times we are so busy with everything that we neglect to rest our bodies which is one thing that is vital for our health and our stability. We are constantly going without getting the proper rest; we are what we eat; we have to spend more time planning and paying attention to what we eat (salt and sugar intake). Our bodies were made to move; so exercise is very important; not just for our physical appearance but our heart and even our circulation.

We have to find an exercise we enjoy and stick with it. Consistency is another major factor; we have to be consistent in not some things but in all things; discipline is a vital tool we must develop as we learn better tactics in time management. Many times we waste a lot of time doing things that are not important.

We must learn that everything we think is important is not urgent; and that some things are neither important or urgent. The bottom line is that our first priority must be God first, and then ourselves.

Keep in mind when we are not in the right place in our priorities nothing else will be. We can always do a better job of spending time with God and taking care of ourselves. Everything else we have to do will always be there, but how effective will we be at taking care of every other thing; before we first seek God and receive his instructions for us first, and all of our other responsibilities? “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (His way of doing things) and all you need will be added to you.” (Matt. 6:33)

There is a time and a season for everything under the heavens and everything starts with God and you.

God is a God of order.
